About Tracey Baker
Specializing in planning for the modern family and executive, Tracey Baker is Vice President of CJM Wealth Advisors, Ltd. Her unique ability to bring the planning process to common ground among couples and to help demystify financial planning and investment issues has made Tracey a sought-after financial advisor in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Tracey is a registered representative of Financial Network Investment Corporation and is licensed by the State of Virginia for life and health insurance.
A 1986 graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Communications, Tracey obtained her Certified Financial Planner designation in 1997 having completed the required coursework through the College for Financial Planning. She has served as President and Chair of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area (FPA-NCA) and as the National FPA Spokesperson for the Plan for Your Health public education campaign. Tracey was honored with the FPA's 2006 Norma Severns Award for Leadership in recognition of her significant contributions to the association and financial planning profession.
The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Money, Financial Advisor, Parade, Women's World and Financial Planning magazines, among numerous other publications, have quoted Tracey. A familiar face on television, Tracey has been featured nationally on ABC and NBC News and CBS News Marketwatch as well as locally on WUSA, WTTG and WJLA television (CBS, FOX and ABC affiliates respectively). She is a frequent speaker on money management for working families, retirement planning and college funding techniques and has presented before members of Congress on financial planning issues. Tracey is co-author of Navigating Your Health Benefits For Dummies, a guide to help the public make wise health benefits decisions as part of their overall financial plan.
Tracey's charitable interests include fund-raising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Foundation for Financial Planning, a non-profit organization devoted to financial education. She was a proud, active volunteer for the Financial Planning Association's Financial Planning Support Center 9-11 Survivor's Project.
Tracey lives in Oakton, Virginia with her husband of almost 20 years, Chip, and their three teenaged children.
